I have been gaming on the web or at brick and mortar gambling dens for many years. I have learned, the habit usually will take a hold of you and you will not even see it up until you are beaten. Specifically if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through uncounted tens of thousands of dollars in only a little period of time and at times, I sometimes go a bit too long. It appears you are just enjoying yourself up till you make a choice to track your loss and the guilt sets in, and of course you keep telling yourself "I could win it back" at length. It never works. Then you get icky in your stomach and the more you try the quicker you spend.
When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you begin to throw away, do not inform yourself, "well only one more" a number of times, trust me, this tactic RARELY ever functions. Say you plan on gambling on slots, keep a pot separate ahead of starting your play. DO NOT exceed that restriction, no matter how tempting. If you happen to profit, put the winnings in a different cup. Don’t risk your profits at any cost. Once you have gambled through your original set threshold, stop. Back off, regardless if it’s on the internet or in a land based casino, do not stick at the tables or machines. Make sure to keep in mind, there will be another day, other times. Obviously, this technique can function for any casino game that you play, be it bingo, poker, electronic poker, keno, chemin de fer or any other game.
Remember, gaming should be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If you cannot manage the squanderings, don’t even begin.
